Sleep is a time when the brain rests and cleans itself of dementia-causing toxins. We are looking for people to participate in a brand-new research study to learn how obstructive sleep apnoea affects brain cleaning during sleep.

We will measure how your sleep affects markers of dementia in your blood over a 24hr period.

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

Aged 35
to 65 years

Currently live in
Sydney

Diagnosed with OSA in the last 2 years.
Have been using CPAP regularly for at least 5 hours per night for more than 3 months.

So what’s actually involved?

If eligible you will need to come into the Woolcock in Macquarie Park and stay overnight in one of our sleep study suites on two occasions.

Participants will be reimbursed $450 for their time and receive a free OSA assessment.

To determine if you are eligible, you will be asked a series of short questions (5 minutes). You will know immediately if you are eligible to participate.
